Its amazing! I haven't been on deviantART for ages!!! The last journal entry I posted was nearly a year ago! This is crazy. Well, there's been so much that has happened since then. I guess I could recap to all those who may wonder where I've been all these years (only one year). Of course, I'm sure no one would take the time to read, but that's okay.

Major Accomplishments
After all these years (or months), I'm proud to say that I have completed all my college courses for my Associates degree in Business Administration!!! This is just a step in getting closer to my main goal, which is receiving a Bachelors in Visual Communications/Digital Design! This is a major turning point for me, because I can see that I'm actually making my dreams a reality. Yes, this excites me very much. Out of my whole family, I am the first to receive a degree in college!!! That's out of the first three who were ahead of me, and the other two that are behind. Sweet!!!

Along with that, I was recently promoted...recently...well in the beginning of year 2008, I became the Assistant Manager at the restaurant I work at, Chin's Asia Fresh. Yes, I know this line of work has nothing to do with what I want to do with my life, but its a way to pay the bills and school loans, along with support my family. However, this promotion has caused me a lot of stress, due to the fact that I still have to find time for school, family, and personal time. Yes, its a difficult juggle, but I've lasted for the last three months yet.

What Art Have I Been Up To?
As far as art, what have I been doing these past months? Well, for one, I've been very active with making myspace layouts for my page. Yes, I have a myspace, feel free to check out my myspace. I've been playing around with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 with layouts and other fun designs. Along with that, my college courses for my bachelors degree are so fun now!!! Why? Because I get to fool around with designs and stuff, instead of just reading textbooks and writing papers about artwork other than your own! And, to top that off, I got the new Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium, which includes Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator, CS3, Flash, Dreamweaver, and much much more. I don't know how to use a lot of the programs, but I'm totally going to learn how!!!

Other than graphic design, I've been trying to draw again. Drawing anime figures, unrealistic and such, gets kind of boring after a while. The only think really challenging is making them with different poses and such. So, I've started this sketchbook, a realistic sketchbook. I'm searching through magazines for upclose facial pictures to recreate with value and lines. Its turning out pretty well, and its challenging!!! I'll continue with this, that is if I have time.

Anything Else?
Hmmm, I'm not exactly sure what else is going on in my life. I recently went to Cancun, Mexico, and had a blast in the sun over there!!! Minnesota weather is cold and snowy in February, and Cancun was beautiful and sunny!!! It was an awsome transition. Other than that, its all the same. Wake up, go to work, come home, do chores, do my school work, go to sleep, and do it all over again. Fun...very fun. Can't wait to make more changes!!! I will try to stay active and post often!!!
